About us
Founded in 2010 by two women who are passionate about gardening, Hawthorn Landscape is a landscape maintenance company. We have grown from a humble duo into a team of enthusiastic horticulturalists who provide professional, efficient and friendly service.
We are big enough to handle large strata and commercial properties but small enough to care about you. If you have a question, concern or a special request you can reach out to me, Kathryn, the owner. I will take your call and answer your email.
We also offer invasive species removal services as well as riparian restoration. We love planting trees and native plants and restoring natural habitats whenever we can.
We offer great customer service, respond quickly to your needs and we have found that our customers genuinely enjoy having us in their gardens!
The Team
Kathryn Weiler
Kathryn has been working with plants for over 3 decades. She loves making things beautiful and is always looking for ways to increase and improve green spaces. She cares for the planet and uses sustainable garden practices free of herbicides and pesticides. She believes that our outdoor environments provide essential living spaces and that they deserve to be well cared for.
She also prides herself on being a great boss. She provides a fun and supportive work environment for her staff and focuses on mentorship and training to help them grow and provide outstanding service to clients.
Outside of leading the Hawthorn team, you can find Kathryn riding her mountain bike, hiking with her dog Phoebe or practicing the banjo.
Sarah
Sarah Crawford is our Office Administrator. She began her career as a baker and pastry chef, managing bakeries and their teams with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Now working as an office administrator, she brings her calm, diligent approach to organizing schedules, managing customer interactions, and occasionally joining the landscaping crew! Sarah takes pride in doing every job well and enjoys balancing her professional life with the demands of raising three spunky kids in beautiful Squamish.
The Landscaping Crew
We are a crew comprised of people from all places and walks of life, but we come together with the belief that landscaping is a team sport. Everyone pulls their weight; if it’s too hot or too cold or too wet instead of complaining someone tells a joke. We work as fast and efficiently as possible and also take care of the little details. When we aren’t working, we are out adventuring in the Sea to Sky - mountain biking, climbing, scrambling, hitting the ski hills or going for a hike.
